Rail association publishes 10-year trends

The 25th annual edition of Railroad Ten-Year Trends, recently published by the Association of American Railroads (AAR), is now available. The edition contains data for the years 1998 through 2007 and provides tables and graphs that present an economic overview of the US freight railroad industry, including Class I industry performance, traffic, financial statistics, employment, plant and equipment, and operations. In addition, the publication includes selected information on regional and local railroads and lists all US freight railroads as well as Mexican and Canadian railroads.
